Alumni Philanthropy at Preuss
The Preuss School UC San Diego not only prepares its students for college but instills in them the importance to give back to their communities. Preuss School alumni have moved on to outstanding careers across the board and many look for ways they can inspire and support the next generation of Preuss School students.
Amanda Torre, Preuss ’05, always dreamt of supporting students. She graduated from UC San Diego and currently works for The Preuss School Family Support Specialist.
“It’s a blessing to me,” said Torre. “My goal since college has been to help youth, and to be doing that at Preuss for students who are in the same position I was, is wonderful.”
Amanda established the Preuss Alumni Legacy Scholarship (PALS) to give alumni an opportunity to give back to The Preuss School. Four scholarships have been awarded to date.
We need your help!
Students have chosen to attend The Preuss School to better their lives and bridge the poverty gap in their neighborhoods. As more alumni graduate and conquer the working world, The PALS scholarship provides an opportunity for you to support a graduating Preuss School senior with a scholarship towards their college tuition.
Please help us achieve our goal of supporting at least two students with a scholarship. Thank you for your support.
