Invest in curiosity.
The Division of Biological Sciences advances knowledge of basic biological sciences and applies research discoveries in ways that improve human health, protect our environment and enrich our economy. We accomplish this by educating and preparing a diverse population of students into the scientists, physicians, medical researchers and educators of the future, making a concerted effort to help our undergraduate students graduate in four years or less, and by increasing public understanding of biology and encouraging scientific discovery among K-12 students and teachers.
The Contiguous BS/MS program
The Contiguous BS/MS Program offers biology majors the opportunity to greatly increase their lab experience while earning their master’s degree in an expedited timeframe. Skills and experience gained will enhance access to STEM-based employment and further professional development and training.
Your giving provides support to undergraduate students who are the first in their families to attend a university and to under-resourced students with a focus on diversity.
The Eureka Scholars Program
Offers a highly competitive summer research experience for promising undergraduate biology students. Under the guidance of a faculty mentor, Eureka Scholars conduct leading-edge research in life science labs. This impactful, hands-on summer experience complements students' academic learning and jumpstarts their role as budding scientists.
Your support allows students to focus on their research and advance their academic pursuits.
